Have a favourite knit that you can’t part with but have no idea how to mend? Then this is the workshop for you, we will carefully guide you through the cathartic process of visible mending.
Do not have anything that needs repairing? If you have a plain knit that needs uplifting, darning is perfect for customising and rejuvenating old pieces.
Master knitter and founder of her own eponymous zero-waste knitwear brand Valentina Karellas will teach you how to mend your favorite knits in a visible and stylish way. Bring along your damaged sweaters, scarves, and socks, and let’s turn them into unique pieces of art together. No prior experience required, just bring your enthusiasm and creativity!
In this 2-hour all levels workshop, you will be given all the skills to repair a stained or damaged knitted piece using traditional hand sewing visible mending / darning techniques in addition to a couple interesting stitches to shake things up a bit.
